This detail that tells it all
A licensed dental hygienist, going by the name of Mandimaeee, said she could tell from a specific area in her mouth.
Can we tell if you did it three years ago? No. But if you've been doing it recently and been a little aggressive… Some people can get a bruise on the palate.More under this adMore under this ad
Then, Dr. Huzefa Kapadia, a dentist in Michigan, took the time to explain a little more.
Palatine petechiae. This is what it is called. It's like sucking on a lollipop. One or two here and there, no problem to be had. But if you do it with multiple, multiple, multiple, multiple lollipops, then you get problems. This will cause palatine petechiae. It's a haematoma and irritation in the soft palate.
If a lot of people have been worried about whether this little secret is going to be revealed, then don't worry. Dr. Huzefa Kapadia explained that dentists never pointed out this detail except when they suspect an abusive relationship on the part of the patient.
