Psychology

Stress acts on your psyche, and this can be due to an overly demanding lifestyle, or problems with friends, family, or a significant other. This mental state leads to a drop in one’s libido. As a result, the consequences are clear: you feel less desirable, you have a lack of self-confidence, and you decide it’s just easier to check out what’s on Netflix.

Physical consequences

Stress can also affect the body. It drastically reduces the secretion of sex hormones, and in men, this results in erectile difficulties or premature ejaculation.

What to do?

Talk about this with your partner, and relax little by little with kissing and gentle foreplay. Finding methods to prevent and manage stress is also important. Try taking the time to meditate to regain self-confidence, exercise, get back into your yoga practice, or even consider seeing a therapist to help you manage. All of these things can help reduce stress and can only be good for your psyche and your libido.
