Semen stains set fast, so time is of the essence. If the stain is on a washable fabric, such as your bedding or clothes, washing them immediately on a cool setting should do the trick. Or, if only a small about of semen is present, you can spot-wash by rinsing the item with soap under cold water. Just remember to avoid hot water which could potentially coagulate the protein in semen, which will worsen the stain.
On delicate fabrics
If the stain is on a more delicate fabric, such as wool or silk, soaking the item in cool water using a delicate laundry detergent is advised. After letting the mixture sit and penetrate the fabric, gently hand wash until all the soap residue has gone, squeeze out the remaining water, and flat dry the item.

Start by sponging the area with cool water and a small amount of detergent. Repeat, using just water until all the detergent has been washed away, then blot dry with a towel, removing as much water as possible. (Useful tip: standing on the towel will help it to soak up the water much faster!)

- If this doesn't work, try using a gentle detergent, but be sure to test the soap on an inconspicuous part of the furniture first to ensure no further staining occurs.
- Leave to dry naturally.
- If there is any remaining powdery matter, use a soft brush to remove it and vacuum the area thoroughly.
We hope that helps you to keep your house clean despite the crazy nights!
