Some parents have regretted their baby's name because they just don't like it. Other times, parents have regrets because they feel as though the name doesn't fit their child, or because the name doesn't fit well with other family members' names or nicknames. The name is hard to pronounce or spell, the meaning isn't appropriate for the age group of the child, they were pressured into choosing this particular name by friends or family members who didn't like any other suggestions, and the list goes on.

According to Washington Post, in the United States:

The two most-changed names are 'Issac' and 'Chole,' and the two most-adopted names, as you might expect, are 'Isaac” and 'Chloe.'
