Skipping breakfast can slow down your metabolism
According to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition, eating increases your metabolism, that’s why if you haven’t eaten for hours you don’t necessarily feel very hungry, but as soon as you have something small to eat you feel famished.

Moreover, the earlier you have your breakfast, the more effective it’ll be as our body is more efficient at secreting insulin and digesting food early in the day after a well-rested night.
So if you delay when you first eat in the day, you are delaying your body’s healthy processes and reducing its efficiency to digest meals.
