According to a recent serious American study, religion could have an effect on life expectancy. Watch the video to find out more!

Religious people live four years longer than any atheist or agnostic people. These are the findings of a scientific study conducted by researchers from the University of Ohio, published in SAGE journals.

Another factor: people who believe in one or several gods have a tendency to smoke, drink and take drugs less than others. Finally, Laura Wallace, the scientist in charge of the study, provided another explanation for The Independent:

We found that volunteering and involvement in social organisations are responsible for just a year of difference in terms of life expectancy.
