An IUD is one of the most effective forms of birth control, with an over 99% success rate, meaning that fewer than one of out 100 people with an IUD will get pregnant each year.
In very rare cases, you can get pregnant while using an IUD because it has been misplaced.
If you do fall pregnant with an IUD, you are more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. However, many cases have also seen women, like Violet, give birth to healthy babies while having contraception devices in them.
