1. Benefits Of spirulina: Spirulina is a microalgae that has been popular for many years especially among athletes because of its protein content. It comes from the family of filamentous cyanobacteria of the genus Arthrospira (platensis) and is a blue-green colour in the form of a spiral.
Spirulina is a very old microorganism, which was already consumed as food by the Incas and some people of Central and West Africa. But why on earth have we recently decided to use spirulina as a dietary supplement? Simply because it is full of benefits! Spirulina is a 'superfood' rich in vegetable proteins, but also in vitamins, minerals, and trace elements: vitamin A and provitamin A, vitamins B, D, E and K, magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium. It promotes the regulation of cholesterol level, the absorption of the iron and weight loss.

How to consume spirulina: Although spirulina does not act directly on fat, it still promotes weight loss because of its protein content and its satiating and stimulating properties. Of course, it's still important to make sure to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet if you want to lose weight.
So to lose weight naturally, start with a balanced diet based on vegetables and pulses, whole grains, soy and fish, seasoned as simply as possible: olive oil, lemon, herbs, paprika, turmeric.

3. Side effects of spirulina: There are few studies to date on spirulina, and whilst it does not seem to have any serious side effects (apart from allergic reactions), it is important to remain vigilant, always consult your doctor and make sure to choose quality products. You must also make sure to respect the recommended doses since overconsumption can cause digestive disorders and nausea. Finally, it is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women or for people suffering from hyperuricemia or phenylketonuria.
