Woman mistakenly given six Pfizer doses in single vaccine
A young woman from Tuscany has mistakenly been administered an entire vile of the Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine containing a total of six doses.
A 23-year-old Italian woman has mistakenly been given a total of six doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 shield in one since vaccine.

Nurse at fault
She is now being closely monitored in a hospital in Massa, central Tuscany, as experts are unsure of the effects of an overdose of the coronavirus jab. Though a medicine-induced overdose could prove lethal, the young woman is in good condition after having received fluids and paracetamol following the injection error.

No previous data on such a high overdose
As it stands, research surrounding Pfizer vaccine overdoses has been limited to only four doses and as there have been no previous cases of such a high volume of doses administered at once, the patient is being placed under close supervision. Since, the incident has been reported to the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA).
