Like most apps, WhatsApp typically develops new features for the beta tes version of the app before rolling them out to all users. It’s how the folks at WABetaInfo are able to mine the app to uncover any new changes. Per their monitoring, there are five new features in the offing, some expected sooner than others. According to The Sun, the following are the features to look forward to:

- The ability to hide when you're online on WhatsApp: Many people are finally able to manage who can see when they are online on WhatsApp after installing one of the recent updates of WhatsApp beta for Android.
- A feature that lets you create and share polls in group chats: some beta testers are now able to create polls to share with their groups. Other group participants should install the latest update from the App Store and Play Store in order to be able to see polls.
- A new camera mode to easily record videos: WhatsApp is working on a new camera mode in order to let you easily record videos, for a future update of the Android app.
- The ability to save Disappearing Messages as Kept Messages: the saved disappearing messages would be moved to a specially designated area of the app to be known as Kept Messages.
