Why dolphins?

But why are dolphins used to monitor an area underwater? As NTV explains, they are suitable for this because of their excellent sense of hearing. They are able to detect mines and other possible dangers.

In Sevastopol, for example, they could be used to ward off enemy divers. Underwater, they could try to penetrate the harbour and sabotage warships. These are currently beyond the range of Ukrainian missiles.
