Vladimir Putin has been under a lot of scrutiny this week due to the presumed death of the Wagner chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin. Prigozhin was allegedly killed in the plane crash that took place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, along with 9 other people.

The remaining mercenaries of the Wagner group allegedly want to seek revenge on the Russian President as they believe he was behind the crash. However, they may not be the only military group that is threatening the current Russian leader.

The first took place in June 2023, by Prigozhin, which is why some believe Putin was behind the crash as a way to seek revenge. The Kremlin has denied any involvement in the crash.
Vladimir Putin is facing armed revolt
As reported by Newsweek, the internal state of Russia is becoming more and more fragile and the Russian government is facing an armed revolt. It is believed that the reason for the growing upset in the country is due to the Ukraine War lasting longer than it was originally meant to.

The Freedom of Russia Legion has allegedly threatened Vladimir Putin
The Freedom of Russia Legion, also known as the Legion Svoboda has begun to openly show their critics of the Russian President. The Freedom of Russia Legion was formed shortly after the war began and is a Ukraine-based group of Russian dissidents.
More under this adMore under this adThe group tweeted that ‘joint efforts’ are needed in order to ‘eliminate Putin’ and explained that ‘As long as Putin is breathing, the world is in danger’.
More under this adMore under this adThe Freedom of Russia Legion is also of the opinion that the Russian President is behind the presumed death of Prigozhin and has claimed that the plane was ‘destroyed by an air-defense missile’, it is important to note that no evidence was given by the military group to back up their claim.
