Rumours have it that Vladimir Putin has already set up backup plans in place in case he loses the war in Ukraine and must flee Russia urgently.

Abbas Gallyamov, a former speechwriter of Vladimir Putin, has claimed the Russian President has set up backup plans in case he loses the Ukraine War.

Rumours of Putin’s contingency plans

Last month, a rumour suggested Vladimir Putin has arranged a quick getaway plan to the Central African Republic in case it all goes south for him.

Similarly, an exiled former aid, Abbas Gallyamov who served as Putin’s speechwriter, and now lives in Israel claims he has received insider information about the backup plans of the Russian President in case he must flee the country urgently, Newsweek reports.

Gallyamov took to his Telegram channel to claim that Putin has already a backup plan in place, and it would see him flee to Latin America.

Gallyamov claims that the initial plans for Putin were to secure a getaway in China, however, the chances of that succeeding were slim so Putin’s backup plan has switched the destination to Venezuela or Argentina. He said:

‘Noah’s ark’

According to Gallyamov, the backup plan is called ‘Noah’s Ark’, The Daily Beast reports.

​​’As the name implies, it’s about a search for new land to go to in case it becomes completely uncomfortable in the homeland. The leader’s entourage has not ruled out that he will lose the war, be stripped of power, and have to urgently evacuate somewhere.’

Gallyamov supposedly has learned who is in charge of arranging the supposed getaway plan to Venezuela for Vladimir Putin.

Namely, Yury Kurilin, who served as the Vice-president and chief of staff for Rosneft, the Russian energy company, before resigning this summer is to dedicate himself fully to the 'Noah's Ark' project.

The Daily Beast reports cites also theTelegram channel Mozhem Obyasnitawhich is claiming that members within Putin’s circle have already begun applying for residency rights and buying real estate in Venezuela. In parallel the channel claims, lower-ranked officials within the presidential administration and the Russian government are seeking to flee to Ecuador, Paraguay, and Argentina.
