Vladimir Putin critic Dmitry Gudkov receives chilling warning after being exiled to the West

Over the years, Russian President, Vladimir Putin has accumulated a number of critics. However, it can be dangerous to be openly against the Russian President as a number of them have either mysteriously died or mysteriously disappeared.

The latest critic to be facing troubles is former MP Dmitry Gudkov, 43. Gudkov has been exiled from Russia and is currently residing in an undisclosed European country. The Putin critic has claimed he knows the list of names that are under threat from Moscow, as reported by Daily Mail.

Dmitry Gudkov is heavily against the war in Ukraine as well as Vladimir Putin. Gudkov fled Russia before the war broke out over fears of being arrested.

Dmitry Gudkov received a chilling warning

According to Daily Mail, Dmitry Gudkov left his home country just before the war in Ukraine broke out after a ‘source close to the Kremlin’ revealed he would be arrested if he didn’t leave.

Gudkov explained that when he arrived in Europe before even getting past passport control and security, he was ‘taken aside’:

I flew to one of the European countries and immediately at the airport, even before passport control, was taken aside and received recommendations from local law enforcement officers to take precautions.

Gudkov then adds that this threat had to be ‘fresh’ as he had only flown 10 days prior to the same airport and hadn’t received any warning.

Dmitry Gudkov isn’t the only critic to have been threatened

Dmitry Gudkov goes on to explain that other critics are also under threat and he was shown a list of names, some of which he recognised. As reported by Daily Mail, Dmitry Gudkov said:

A wide range of opposition and public figures living abroad, who the Putin regime considers enemies, are now at high-risk.

He then revealed that another ‘opposing figure’ was told he should leave Turkey as they were not able to protect him.

Another opposition figure received a similar warning today - but already in Turkey, where he was directly advised to fly out of the country

He then advised other critics, especially the not-so-well-known ones, to be careful:

So if you are an opposition or public figure, and not necessarily a very well-known one, then be careful.

There are now enough people who want to curry favour with Putin.
