Heatwave will grip all of Spain
Brits planning their holidays this month have been warned Spain is already sizzling in its second heatwave this year.
Many areas saw the temperatures skyrocket to 38C in ‘summer-like temperatures’ this weekend despite it being only the beginning of May. Forecasters predict that almost no Spanish city will drop below 20C in the coming days as the country continues to battle the heatwave into next week with no rain clouds spotted on the horizon.
More under this adMore under this adThe entire week will be warm, with slight fluctuations, but temperatures are likely to remain above average, or even much higher depending on the region.

What areas of Spain are affected?
Mr Granda, from Eltiempo.es, warned that temperatures could exceed 30C in many areas, including the valleys of the Guadalquivir, the Tagus, the Guadiana, and the Ebro, as well as on the Cantabrian coast.
More under this adMore under this adWhile popular tourist destinations like Barcelona and Ibiza will be a bit chillier and linger around the mid-20s, areas further down south, including Seville will be well above 30C.

On Wednesday this new peak will be at its highest in the north, which is where the rise will be most noticeable, and in parts of the centre, while temperatures will drop in Galicia, the southwest and the southeast, but it will still be hot for the season.More under this adMore under this ad
In Santander, temperatures are expected to reach 29C, while in Bilbao, where temperatures should be around 21C or 22C, they could rise to 34C or 35C, depending on the wind direction.
While some areas will experience a drop in temperature on Thursday, the heat will continue in many parts of the country, and there is no significant relief in sight.
