Would you have the courage to put your arm in a hole to get a completely unpredictable tattoo? That’s what the famous tattoo artist Scott Campbell is offering to his clients. Through his surprising experience dubbed “Whole Glory,” visitors of the MILK gallery in New York can get a free tattoo in return for their blind trust.

Tattoos have been around for thousands of years across the world. The technique involves injecting ink into the skin with the help of needles or pointed objects. The depth of the injection varies from 1 to 4mm depending on the body part being tattooed, with the back, knees and elbows being the thickest areas. Needless to say, it’s best to think long and hard before getting inscribed with such an indelible mark. However, the famous tattoo artist Scott Campbell, far from encouraging thoughtful preparation, decided to dedicate himself to a particularly bold experience entitled “Whole Glory.”

Working for several days inside the MILK gallery in New York, he gave free tattoos to people who dared to put their arm inside a hole while he worked on it. 25 people in total were chosen at random to get a doodle on their limb. Needless to say, this exercise really tested the participants’ trust, as Scott Campbell carried out all his work hidden behind a makeshift wall. Not for the faint-hearted. But of course the result was incredible: none of those who were tattooed was disappointed by the artist’s imagination. And for good reason, as the drawings are simply spectacular.
