In the video, posted by the Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko, Solovyov states that Germany will soon exist ‘under a Russian flag’. This comes as Putin revokes Russia’s ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, a global treaty that bans nuclear weapons tests. So, what does Russia have against Germany, and what exactly did Solovyov say?

Solovyov claimed that Germany initially promised to supply only medicine and helmets to Ukraine’s military but ‘after a while’ this changed to: ‘We'll supply anything they need’.
Germany has indeed been a strong supporter of Ukraine throughout the Russia-Ukraine war. Just last month, its defence ministry announced a new support package made up of weapons, vehicles, air defences. The package is worth close to £1 billion.

What Solovyov said
Putin has employed a relentless denazification rhetoric throughout his ‘special military operation’ against Ukraine, and Solovyov parrots this. He stated on the Kremlin-controlled Russia-1 TV channel:

He continued his rant, saying that ‘since the 18th century’ Russia has ‘taken Berlin several times’:
We will take it again if we have to. But this time we won’t leave.
Another guest chipped in with a tempering comment, saying ‘Germany and Berlin will exist'. Solovyov didn’t miss a beat in clarifying:

His message is clear, but it is important to bear in mind that he is not the decision-maker. As for Putin’s deratification of the nuclear ban treaty, Reuteurs has reported the following:

Russia will not resume nuclear testing unless Washington does, say Russian diplomats.
Only time will tell if this turns out to be true.
