Mosquitos have preferences
It’s worth knowing that mosquitos do have preferences for which type of person they want to bite. They prefer people with O and A blood types over people who are blood type B. Also, body odours and CO2 released during the night can also work against you.
Solutions to ease your bites and stop you itching
Once you’ve been bitten, it’s difficult to resist the temptation to itch. And the more you think about it, the more you itch it! A never-ending circle that is difficult to put a stop it. However, continuing to itch a mosquito bite can be problematic because this bite is an open wound and so there is the risk that it could become infected. It is also worth trying to stop yourself and use natural alternatives until the bite starts to fade and wear off.

When it comes to itching, people often use their nails. But to avoid this impulse, you can always ‘scratch’ it with the palm of your hand. This won’t irritate your skin, but it will make it easier to bear despite everything.
2/ Put on a plaster
If you want to stop yourself from itching, you could always hide your mosquito bite with a plaster or bandage. Obviously, this solution doesn’t work if you’re attacked by a swarm of mosquitos. But it can stop you scratching by covering the bite up.

Lavender essential oil is calming and soothing. You can apply a few drops to your bites.
4/ Use an ice pack
The cold works to ‘numb’ the skin and reduces your desire to itch. The coolness from the cold weather or an ice cube can also help reduce swelling from the bite.
If not, to protect yourself from mosquitos, you can also use or make a special, natural candle or a spray to repel them!
