The 'silhouette challenge' is the name of the latest TikTok challenge. This new challenge consists of filming oneself fully dressed, and then either in underwear or naked in front of a door. However, there are a few subtleties, notably the use of a red light filter available on Snapchat which leaves a ray of light in the background so as to only perceive the curves of the body.

Removing the filter
Once again, this challenge is not only being carried out by young adults and/or adults, but also by teenagers who are enthusiastic users of the video application. While some TikTok challenges can be downright deadly, the silhouette challenge also has its dangers. According to many internet users, with some photo editing, the filter can be removed quite easily, as several Twitter users have pointed out.

The removal of the filter, which could make all videos using the #silhouettechallenge likely to end up in the hands of ill-intentioned people, has been used more than 120 million times. A few internet users were not afraid to brag about their exploits on Twitter.
