Search continues for Gabby Petito and her fiancé

While local and federal agencies hunt for Gabby Petito in a Rocky Mountain national park, authorities are also looking for her fiancé Brian Laundrie, who has been missing since Tuesday, according to his family. On the other hand, according to the North Port Police Department, the newest search for Laundrie has relocated to a Florida nature preserve, where dozens of cops and FBI agents are combing an area covering nearly 25,000 acres.

Reportedly, he left in the family vehicle, but the same vehicle was found in the family home. North Port police stated in a tweet that the search continued Sunday morning, adding that investigators are still on the lookout.

Hiding not missing!
After Richard Stafford, Petito’s family attorney said in a brief statement to CNN that Gabby is the one who is missing while Brian is just hiding, the police are in full force to search him. According to his family, he left home with his backpack on Tuesday and told them he was heading to the reserve. Under these circumstances, North Port police tweeted assuring people that the department is doing its best.

When Laundrie's relatives reported to police, they hadn't seen him in days, the residence was searched Friday evening. Laundrie's whereabouts ‘are currently unknown,’ according to Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino.

The search for the couple continues in the vast wildlife reserve. The FBI's Denver field office said in a tweet that ground surveys were done Saturday alongside the National Park Service. Further, the local authorities at the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area in Bridger-Teton National Forest on the eastern boundary of Grand Teton National Park continue to be reached for support and assistance.
According to an FBI Missing Person poster for Petito, anyone who was in the camping area between August 27 and 30 is being contacted. Running on the possibility that they may have seen Petito or Laundrie or saw their vehicle — a 2012 Ford Transit van with a Florida plate and stickers on the back — is asked to contact the office. The search was suspended on Saturday due to darkness but had begun again today in an effort to search for the missing couple.
