Russian propagandist threatens that nuclear war is inevitable: ‘No doubt about it'
More under this adThis Kremlin mouthpiece has said nuclear war is inevitable, but won’t lead to the collapse of humanity.
Vladimir Solovyov is well-known as a staunch ally of Vladimir Putin. As the Russian President continues to plough on in his war against Ukraine, despite rumours of a cardiac arrest and a seemingly vanished 'girlfriend', Solovyov continues to support him.

Just last week, Solovyov raged against the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, claiming that ‘Berlin will burn!’. The TV host and Russian propagandist has also shared his views on nuclear war. He thinks it is unavoidable and not necessarily as disastrous as everyone makes out. Here’s what he said and how he justified this viewpoint.

This is not the first time that Solovyov has expressed a perverse enthusiasm for nuclear warfare. However, the Russian state TV host is now stating that nuclear war is inevitable. Speaking to panelists on the show, he said:
It will happen, no doubt about it.More under this adMore under this ad
This comes as reports suggest the Russian military have taken a massive hit in Ukraine. It is believed that around 300,000 soldiers have been killed during what Putin calls Russia’s ‘special military operation’.
Only the journalist and dean of a Russian TV school Vitaly Tretyakov spoke up against this view, and expressed a desire to avoid nuclear attacks.

In response, Solovyov explained:
Nuclear war is the means for something. It's strange to fight over the means; a nuclear war fulfills a certain goal. Not every nuclear war leads to destruction.
He references the previous use of nuclear weapons to support this claim:
We already had a nuclear war. Two nuclear bombs were dropped on the territory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.More under this adMore under this ad
If nukes are used against a non-nuclear nation, it won't lead to the nuclear collapse of humanity. Everyone in the military studies the use of tactical nuclear weapons—they know...and they understand how and where [they can be used].
Tretyakov piped up again, explaining that these were not nuclear wars in the conventional sense, but his comment was dismissed.

The bombs that were dropped by the U.S. on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II had a yield equivalent to 15 and 20 kilotons of TNT, respectively.
By comparison, the largest nuclear warhead in America's arsenal is 1.2 megatons—60 times more powerful than the one dropped on Nagasaki—while Russia is known to have bombs with an 800 kiloton yield.More under this adMore under this ad
Keeping this in mind, Solovyov’s threat seems even more terrifying. However, it is important to remember that this TV host is a propagandist, and thankfully has no real say in what moves Russia makes.
