According to Kevin Decosta, the sculpture could have landed on the beach due to recent bad weather. In his Facebook post, he explains that he often walks through this area and it was the first time in a while.
I come to this location often but this is my first time in for quite some time due to the crappy weather.More under this adMore under this ad
Other Facebook users then replied to Kevin’s post saying they recognised the Sphinx rock. One suggested it could have come from a commune of artists squatting on the cliff in the 1970s.
Some users then expressed their desire to visit the location, with others explaining they never knew it existed.
