One of Aldi’s most popular Specialbuys is the Easy Home Heated Clothes Airer. Now rivals Lidl are selling a heated airer too – although it’s a different brand. The Minky Wing Heated Clothes Airer boasts 12 metres of drying space and is strong enough to hold a full 16kg load of washing. It’s also economical as it claims to cost less than 4p an hour to run.

Aldi vs Lidl heated airer price
Although the heated clothes airer on sale at Lidl is a little pricier than Aldi's offering - £39.99 compared to £28.99 for the Easy Home Heated Clothes Airer at Aldi – it’s still £10 cheaper than the RRP of £49.99. You’d currently pay £50 to buy the same airer from Amazon or Argos, so Lidl's deal is worth snapping up.

There are no reviews available on Amazon’s site but the Minky Wing Heated Clothes Airer receives an average of 3.9/5 stars from customers on both Amazon and Argos’ websites. Several reviews mention that they appreciate the cover that’s included with the airer to speed up drying time – a feature not included in the heated airer sold at Aldi.
Generally, reviews are mixed. One five-star review reads:
Absolutely brilliant for drying clothing in the winter months, you do need the cover with it. I fill my airer up up switch it on and about 8 hours later all dry, I turn the clothing about half way through and cheaper than a tumble dryer.More under this adMore under this ad
However, another buyer gives the Minky Wing Heated Clothes Airer just two stars, saying:
I’m not sure if we expected too much of this. But it still takes about 2/3 days for things to fully dry which is the same for a bog standard airer. If I could have found my receipt I’d have returned it.
