Kim Jong-un's unusual outfit has him trending on social media (PHOTO)

After a seemingly inactive period and far from public appearances at least for the western world, Kim Jong-un returned to the limelight while supervising nuclear missile tests himself. What is unusual this time is the attire he chose which has enthralled social media users.

Breaking the black outfit routine

Kim Jong-un usually shocks the world with aggressive behaviour and scandalous actions directed at his fellow countrymen in his hermit kingdom, but also with loosely coined nuclear threats towards the west and allies. He usually does so while wearing a standard black-colouredoutfit.

In his latest appearance where he has been supervising North Korean nuclear missile tests, he has chosen an unusual white outfit with a ‘safari’ type hat, which has set social media abuzz, The Economic Timesreports.

‘Instagram Vacation Girl’

Foxnews reports about a number of social media users who have likened Kim Jong-un’s attire to the ‘Instagram Vacation Girl’ style, which is a trendy look for girls wearing a combo white dress combined with a white hat while exploring new vacation spots.

New York Post, reports about other hilarious posts including a GIF from a Twitter user drawing a comparison with Richard Attenborough, from the 1993 movie Jurassic Park where he wore a khaki hat and white shirt. The post reads ‘Welcome to Jurassic Park’.

Another Twitter user used a picture of Diane Keaton from the 2003 film Something’s Gotta Give and the post headline is ‘Kim Jong Un: Coastal Grandmother Icon’,New York Post reports.

Kim Jong-Un's attire aside, his nuclear threats have increased not only verbally. According to the New York Post:

North Korea conducted at least seven unplanned missile tests including an intermediate-range ballistic missile that was fired over Japan.

The US and its allies have been running joint military drills in the region as a sign of deterrence to the North Korean leader.
