Yet another police shooting took place on Sunday 23rd August in the United States. The victim? Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old father. In light of the violent nature of the incident, some celebrities have even decided to take a stand. Keep reading to find out more.

There is yet another victim of police brutality who is currently fighting for his life. Emotions are running high in the state of Wisconsin, where the incident took place, as well as in other states and countries around the world. The footage of quite a surreal scene has managed to circulate the whole world. Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old African-American father was shot seven times in the back at gunpoint by a police officer.

Another act of police brutality? For many Americans, there is no doubt in their minds. Last night, a thousand protestors gathered near the Kenosha courthouse near the city of Milwaukee in support of Jacob Blake chanting ‘No justice, no peace!’ The tone has been set.

Although incidents like this are still a shock to us, for millions of citizens in the United States, it has almost become an everyday occurrence. For several months now, the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement has been gaining momentum and some celebrities have even decided to take a stand against racism and demand justice. And that is exactly what some are now doing in support of Jacob Blake.

Among these stars is LeBron James, NBA superstar. Devastated by the events, the player decided to say his piece. On his Twitter account, he wrote:

And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!! Exactly another black man being targeted. This shit is so wrong and so sad!! Feel so sorry for him, his family and OUR PEOPLE!!
