With Easter just around the corner, Ferrero has been forced to recall a batch of their Kinder egg surprises as they believe they have been contaminated with salmonella in the UK according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Kinder Egg recall
The batch of 20g eggs or three-packs of eggs with the best before dates July 11 and October 7 2022 has been recalled as the company believes they have been contaminated with salmonella.

In response to this, Ferrero has taken the precautionary step to undertake a product withdrawal and recall with immediate effect whilst investigations continue,
The product thought to be affected have all been manufactured at the same factory.More under this adMore under this ad
Other products manufactured by Kinder are not thought to be affected.

Salmonella poisoning
Salmonella poisoning is one of the most common causes of food poisoning. Salmonella poisoning symptoms include:
- Diarrhoea
- Stomach cramps
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Fever
Usually, symptoms only last a few days, but symptoms are often more severe among children and can result in hospitalisation.
