In an effort to prioritize consumer safety, two separate product recalls have been initiated involving organic green kiwifruit and butter flavored popcorn. The recalls have been issued by David Oppenheimer and Company I LLC, as well as Bickel’s Snack Foods, Inc. due to concerns over potential health risks associated with these products.

Undeclared milk in Butter Flavored Popcorn
Bickel’s Snack Foods, Inc. of York, Pennsylvania, has initiated a voluntary recall for specific lots of 8 oz. Butter Flavored Popcorn due to the presence of undeclared milk. Individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity are cautioned against consuming these products, as it may lead to potentially severe allergic reactions.
More under this adMore under this adThe affected product comes in 8-ounce clear plastic bags and bears the UPC code 70175 06021. The following Use By codes are subject to this recall:
- 20 NOV 23 Z4 E1
- 27 NOV 23 Z4 E1
The lot code information is located on the front of the package, just above the label.
Undeclared milk in the affected popcorn poses a significant risk to individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities. Consuming this product may result in serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.

David Oppenheimer and Company I LLC is recalling all one-pound clamshells of organic green kiwifruit due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This bacterium can lead to severe infections, particularly among vulnerable populations.

Sold in clamshells at retail locations in FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, NC, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, and WI. Zespri organic green kiwifruit sold in other states is NOT subject to this recall.More under this adMore under this ad

Listeria monocytogenes contamination can result in serious infections, especially in individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women are particularly at risk, as the infection can lead to miscarriages or stillbirths.
