The feature allows you to review and add more security to your account.

If you are one of the 2.85 billion users of Facebook, you are being advised to immediately activate three features to safeguard your account and to protect your privacy. Being the social media platform with the largest user base, Facebook is a target for scammers and hackers. The Meta-owned company is constantly updating its security features to give users the best protections. One of such is the Security Check Up.

This consists of three major settings that you can consult to ensure that your account is fully protected. Facebook explained:

You can use Security Checkup to review and add more security to your account.

Security Checkup can be found under Settings & Privacy on your Facebook app. You should see an option to ‘Check Your Important Security Settings’ and this when clicked, will take you through the Security Checkup. At this point, if your account is fully protected, you’ll know as there’ll be a ‘no issues found’ at the top of the screen.

TFA and login alerts

If not you will have to go to fortify your account by activating three very important settings, the first one being your password. Ensure your password is strong cannot be easily guessed. Then you need to activate two-factor authentication. According to Facebook:

If you set up two-factor authentication, you'll be asked to enter a special login code or confirm your login attempt each time someone tries accessing Facebook from a browser or mobile device we don't recognize.

The final security step that adds more security to your Facebook account is Login alerts.
