The moment has come for life in the UK to go back to ‘normal’ however, some people aren’t convinced it’s the right time. Many Brits think it is still too early to remove all COVID restrictions. Even though all legal restrictions have been lifted it doesn’t mean you have to ditch them right now. Here are a few helpful tips to guide you back to ‘normal’ life.

Take your time
From today, February 24, all COVID restrictions will be lifted and will now only be recommended instead of mandatory. This applies to public transport, public spaces etc.

If you feel it is too soon to ditch face masks and social distancing, you can still wear one. You can ease restrictions at your own pace. If you feel safer on public transport with a mask, then nothing is stopping you from wearing one.
If you are unsure about attending social gatherings, why not take baby steps? Start by just going for 15 minutes whilst social distancing and wearing a mask. As time goes by, you will feel more comfortable, you can extend each time spent at social gatherings and slowly drop social distancing and masks.

Talk to loved ones
As said before, you probably aren’t the only one who is worried about all restrictions being lifted. If you have concerns, reach out to family or friends and chat about them, they may share the same concerns or they will be able to help ease them.
Talking is an excellent way to ease worry as you’ll realise you aren’t alone in your feelings. Knowing someone else is feeling the same way will offer you a support system.

Think about the facts
If you are worried about catching COVID, it can help rationalise your brain thinking about the facts when it comes to the virus.
If you are vaccinated it is highly likely that you’ll have ‘flu like’ symptoms. Also think about how high risk you and the people in your entourage are. If they aren’t, that is one less thing to worry about.
