Scammers use fake Stanley website to steal your money

Google Chrome users are being urged not to perform a search for a scam website which pretends to sell original Stanley items but will instead deliver nothing - and steal your cash.

Stanley is a legitimate company that sells vacuum flasks, lunch boxes, coolers, and lots of other products, with some having become popular on TikTok.

The brand’s website Stanley1913.com has a good rating online and that’s where people can make purchases.

The scammers set up an alternative website - with ‘US’ in the middle - and drive fake sales that result in people getting nothing shipped to them.

An expert team behind Trend Micro, a popular cyber safety and security blog, warned against searching the phrase ‘Stanley1913US’ as it leads to the malicious website rather than the original one.

Until Google dealt with the problem, it is highly recommended to avoid the digital imposter that can steal your money.

Most reputable brands pay a lot of money to make their website look legitimate and have a name that doesn’t cause confusion. Any additional numbers, letters or characters in the name should make you concerned.
