We've got to say, we love this story for many different reasons: it's the perfect mix of surprise, humour, and moving. When out trying on different dresses, one woman wanted to send a photo of herself posing in a dress to a friend to get their opinion.

However, she made a mistake when sending it off and it ended up in a stranger's inbox. Rather than just brush it off, the stranger decided to respond!

'My wife isn’t home, so I couldn’t get her opinion, but the kids and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that one!’ responded the father of 6 who received the text. He also attached a photo of 5 of his kids posing with their thumbs up.

The woman took to Twitter to post about the incident and the tweet went viral almost immediately. It was posted last year and liked by over 600,000 users.

But where is the last of the 6 children you may ask yourself? Well, after the photo went viral, the man decided to use his 15 minutes of fame to let the public know where the missing child is. His child is in the hospital currently fighting leukaemia.

This is one of those times when you realise the true power of the kindness of people on the internet: moved by the story, a donation drive was opened up to help cover the medical bills of the young child.

Over £40,000 was raised to support the family.
