Change is coming

WhatsApp typically tests new updates in the beta version of the app first before rolling them out across its user base. WABetaInfo, a cyber company that keenly follows what new features WhatsApp is working on. After some digging, the team at WABetaInfo discovered some five key changes that are in the offing, none of which is live yet, The Sun reports. Here’s a sneak peek into what new and exciting features WhatsApp is coming out with.

  • The ability to detect text in WhatsApp photos, so you can copy and paste it (testing in beta)
  • The ability to move WhatsApp chat history between Android phones without using Google Drive (under development)
  • The ability to forward media with a caption (testing in beta)

  • A camera mode that makes it much easier to record video (under development)
