‘Lucky to survive’
The RSPCA vets were 'amazed' that Freya, who has now been renamed Bella by her new family, survived and was not seriously injured after she was dumped from a lorry travelling at 50mph in Kent, England.

RSPCA’s inspector Kirsten Ormerod said:
Freya was incredibly lucky to survive after being hurled from the moving vehicle at such a high speed and vets were incredibly concerned that she may have suffered internal bleeding so performed surgery immediately.More under this adMore under this ad
The pup was in a horrendous condition. She was frightened, underweight and had a dirty, matted coat covered in fleas.
The RSPCA launched an investigation into the incident which has yet to be solved.
'Always wagging her tail'
Gill, who is also based in Kent, was heartbroken when she heard about Freya’s story. She was looking to adopt following the death of her Jack Russell terrier in April, and the timing was perfect. Her family offered Freya a loving forever home and a new name - Bella.

Freya is really happy here and is always wagging her tail. She loves to. She can be a bit naughty and play bites a lot but we love her just the way she is.
According to Bella’s new owner, the pup is still ‘very scared around men and finds it difficult meeting other dogs’. To aid the problem, she has arranged for a trainer to come and help.
