When your cat rubs up against your legs

Does your cat love being up against your legs? That’s because they are marking their territory and releasing their pheromones on you. This is known as scent marking and it shows that you belong to them and that they love you. Adorable, don’t you think?

When your cat rubs their head against yours

When your little feline puts their head near yours, they are still releasing pheromones and letting you know that they trust and feel safe around you. Reassuring!

When your cat kneads your stomach

When they lie on you and begin to knead your belly, they are letting you know that they are happy and safe. This behaviour is similar to what they did on their mother’s belly when they were kittens to stimulate the flow of milk. A little throwback to their kitten life which reassures them. This behaviour is often accompanied by quite a lot of purring. They can also do it on a cover, a cushion or any soft and fluffy place. We love it!

When your cat sleeps up against you

If your cat loves snuggling up to you when they fall asleep, it’s a sign that they trust you. When they’re sleeping, they are at their most vulnerable, so falling asleep next to you is proof that they love you and feel safe around you. Obviously, this little ritual is more likely to happen when the room is warm and cosy. Above everything else, they love being comfortable.

There you go, what your adorable, little cat’s cuddles really mean!
