Monkey kills a man by flinging a brick from a house

Monkeys are infamous for their reign of terror. Whether in forests or cities, it’s not unknown for them to cause trouble and mischief. But they are also notorious for their violent behaviour, especially in India, where there’s a dense population of monkeys living, not only in rural but in urban areas as well. This man had to pay a heavy price after unknowingly encountering a monkey.

Accidental death by monkey
It was another ordinary day for 30-year-old Mohammad Kurbaan from Delhi, but what he didn’t suspect was it would also be, unfortunately, his last day. According to Indian Express, the victim sold bags in the neighbourhood and lived with his wife and 5-year-old daughter. The incident took place in October 2021 when Kurban was reportedly on his way to purchase materials for his products.

He immediately collapsed upon the contact with the brick and remained unconscious. He was rushed to RML hospital where he was pronounced dead, as reported by India Today.

But how did the monkey manage to projectile the brick? Apparently, the owner of the house from which the monkey threw the brick, had the brick lying on their water tank. The water tank didn’t have a proper lid, so to protect the water from dust they had covered the tank with a makeshift coverand added two bricks on top of it, so the monkeys won’t open it.
However, the monkeys also happened to use the said tank as a water source and were trying to remove the brick and the makeshift lid in order to access the water. That’s when the monkey carelessly flung the brick down the house and it hit the victim. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the owner of the house for negligence.
