Sometimes, abandoned animals have a future full of plot twists and good luck!

Monte was an abandoned dog that was supposed to be put to sleep in New Mexico, but luckily for him, he was sent to the HALO Animal Rescue centre in Phoenix, in the United States. Little Monte stayed at the shelter for a year before he was adopted by Mark Forbes, one of the animal trainers for the upcoming live action revamp of the classic Disney film ‘Lady and the Tramp’.

FROM THE STREET TO HOLLYWOOD

The president and CEO of the animal shelter said:

‘He was adopted from us in April of 2018, and we knew that the people that were meeting with him were considering him to be a Hollywood star, but we didn’t know for what, because it was top secret. We knew he had the potential to become a Hollywood dog [because] when he arrived at the shelter he was super friendly, he greets people right away, he gives kisses, he loves attention, he knows ‘sit’ and he knows how to walk well on a leash.’

And a few days ago, the animal shelter announced on their Facebook page that Monte will be starring in the remake of this famous film from our childhood where he will play the loyal sidekick of Rose, the little Cocker Spaniel.

We couldn’t have wished for anything better for this adorable dog!
