Kyla King woke up one morning in her Oregon home to discover that her cathad finally given birth. However, one of the cats had two faces popping out of its head.

A two-faced cat is undoubtedly rare and is due to a genetic mutation called diprosopus. But the phenomenon is common enough to have its own name, Janus cats. Named after the Greek God Janus who also happened to have two faces. Unfortunately, Janus cats don't often live for more than a day.

The newcatmum was also inundated with offers online from cat fanatics desperate to give the kitten a loving home if King ever decided to give her up.

However, there has been one Janus cat that has lived a long and happy life named Frank and Louie or Frankenlouie who lived for fifteen years. The cat was born in 1999 and lived right up until 2014.
