After coming across a stray dog, this woman completes a selfless act

Whilst we're used to CCTV catching action-shots of petty criminals or people doing very strange things whilst oblivious they're on camera, this little incident wasn't quite like either of those. Instead, it was a random yet heartfelt act of kindness that was caught at the right place, at the right time as it shows the little ways we can make the world a better place.

Duygu Elma was leaving a Turkish cafe and as she stepped out into pouring rain, she noticed a struggling stray pup who was curled up just outside the doorway.

Selfless act of kindness

Whilst Duygu seems to stop to contemplate something, it becomes evident what was keeping her from strolling off as she is seen sheltering herself with her umbrella before taking off her shawl and selflessly placing it over the sleeping stray pooch before she decided to walk away.

Oblivious to the praise she was about to receive

Unaware of the praise the young woman was going to receive - let alone the footage going viral - Duygu commented:

I couldn’t imagine that my actions would receive this attention. I’m very surprised about it. The weather was so cold. I just couldn’t take it when I saw him shivering.

It seems that we can all take something home from Duygu's act of kindness!
