People shocked to realise what’s actually inside a Cadbury's Creme Egg

There's hardly anyone who doesn't like chocolate. And eating it in the form of tiny adorable eggs just adds to the fun of having a sweet treat. This is one of the reasons why Cadbury's Creme Egg is super popular. This humble chocolate egg has definitely been elevated to being an iconic British sweet now, having been around for decades.

Biting into one of these gets you the taste of solid chocolate along with a thick filling inside which makes for a delicious surprise in the centre. Though these are so popular, many people are still not aware of what the gooey filling inside is made of.

Opening A Cadbury Creme Egg

A TikToker who posts under the username @abbeythefoodscientist has just revealed to her audience what the filling inside Cadbury's Creme Egg is, by dissecting the egg.

The video posted by the TikToker shows her gradually peeling open a Cadbury's Creme Egg from its wrapper. She then takes a knife and cuts the egg in half.

She then displays the sticky and gooey yellow and white filling inside the egg and reveals that the filling inside the Cadbury's Creme Egg is nothing other than fondant.

The video creator writes in her caption:

Reaction to the video

People were surprised at the revelation since they expected the filling of the sweet to be something else altogether.
