People shocked to learn the proper way to close a cereal box

Cereals are a great way to meet your nutrient requirements. Not only are they delicious, it also takes little to no time to prepare. However, cereal boxes invariably end up taking a ton of space on our kitchen cupboard, making it look cluttered. Also, improperly stored cereals might make the contents damp.

However, a TikTok video by the account @goodto.com is teaching viewers a nifty hack to store cereal boxes for tidier cupboards, and people are surprised.

Cereal Box Folding Hack

TikTok account @goodto.com publishes lifestyle hack for common household objects. This particular hack for cereal boxes is titled by the creator as, ‘Say hello to tidy cereal cupboards.’

The video then goes on to demonstrate how to properly store cereal boxes. Once the cereal carton is opened with all of its paper tabs on the top out, fold in three of the tabs including the smaller ones and the one in the front. Keep the tab in the back out.

Then pinch both sides of the carton such that it folds and flattens along the middle. Then bring the tab in the back to the front to close the carton up.

The result is a carton with its sides neatly folded and flattened a tab to close it shut. This not only looks more visually pleasing, but also ensure that the cereal inside stays fresh.
