TikTok user Shauna who posts as @homediydiary has shared a number of clever hacks on the social media platform, and at least oneof them left users speechless.

DIY enthusiast and mum-of-three has recently sent followers wild after revealing what the small metal cap on the kitchen sink was for.

It turns out, the sink cap covers a hole for the faucet in case it should be installed the other way around. Once the silver cap is removed, it can fit a soap dispenser.

Shauna said:

Apparently, lots of you did not know about this sink hack. I'm replacing my dish soap dispenser. It's three years old, so it's pretty battered and leaking.

She says that the new sink dispenser can be easily purchased on Amazon.

Just pop off the cap on your sink and install the new one.

Shauna adds:

Mine lasted me three years, as you can see, then it started leaking and it has survived two separate houses, so I'm really loving this cool hack. It's so handy.

The genius hack is also affordable. No wonder it racked up over 3.5 million views on TikTok, with many users flocking to the comment section to share their disbelief over the revelation.
