Sausages containing pieces of metal
Sainsbury’s are recalling packs of Plant Pioneers 6 Caramelised Onion Shroomdogs 300g which have a use-by date of 06 January 2021 or 07 January 2021. This is because some of the packs with these date codes contain pieces of metal, which makes the product unsafe to eat. No other products are affected.

Food recalls can happen for two main reasons. Firstly, food allergy recalls are when allergy information was incorrectly or unclearly labelled on a product, which could cause a health risk to people with allergies. The second type are food safety recalls, when there is concern that products have been contaminated, either by harmful bacteria, or, as in the case of the Plant Pioneers 6 Caramelised Onion Shroomdogs, may contain material that shouldn’t be there.
