Stock cubes are a quick substitute for actual vegetable or meat broth in order to flavour food and add layers of taste in things such as soups, sauce, rice or even curries.

Though many people might be already familiar with this kitchen essential, a recently surfaced TikTok video by @cherrycooks has revealed the real way to use these stock cubes, and the video has left many viewers shocked and surprised.

The TikToker @cherrycooks shared the kitchen hack with bouillon cubes, writing in her video,

She then proceeds to show a hand attempting to open a regular stock cube in the usual way, by pulling apart at the corner of the cube. After demonstrating the struggle in trying to open the cube this way, she shows the actual way to open it.
Turns out you can loosen the plastic cover around the cube, and flatten the contents within by applying adequate pressure. This leads to the square cube transforming into a small sachet that you can tear one corner of, to pour out the contents of the now-powdered stock cube.

The video already has thousands on view on Instagram, and attracted a lot of comments from viewers who were impressed with the hack. One person writes,
