McDonald's is changing the price of their 99p coffee once again

McDonald’s brought back Chicken Big Mac burger, much to the glee of its fans, and has also introduced a new burger called McDonald’s Steakhouse Stack this week. Along, with these, the beloved Mozzarella Dippers have also returned.
More under this adMore under this adBut there is also some bad news for fans: not only is McDonald’s axing many popular menu items from its roster, fans will also have to start paying a higher price for their regular cup of McDonald's coffee.

Many McDonald’s fans depend on the brand for their coffee needs. But unfortunately for them, as reported by Metro, McDonald’s is hiking up prices for it, with coffee prices have now been raised by 20p – from 99p to £1.19.
As per the report, a McDonald’s spokesperson addressed the latest price hike saying,
Although we have now made a small change to these prices, the price of black and white coffee remains below that of early 2020 – and is actually comparable to price in the majority of our restaurants in 2010.More under this adMore under this ad
This is not the first price hike the brand has instituted with the cost of many of their menu items having already seen a hike about a month ago.

Since Wednesday 29 March, McDonald’s has axed 5 popular fan-favourite menu items in their latest shake-up. These are:
- Grand Big Mac, which features 100% beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion and pickles and Big Mac sauce in a sesame topped bun
- Grand Big Mac with Bacon
- Chilli Cheese bites, which are cheese bites in a crispy batter, served with a rich tomato dip
- Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry and
- Galaxy Caramel McFlurry
