McDonald’s customer left stunned after finding a 'glove' inside sausage and egg McMuffin

McDonald's fans have been enjoying its latest menu additions including new Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin, along with trying crazy summer combos such as McDonald's iced tea and coffee creamer.

But all's not been well for the brand, as even within the last week, McDonald's customers have found all manner of weird things inside their food, including a nose ring in Quarter Pounder burger in one case.

In a similar instance, as reported by New York Post, a McDonald's customer has raised alarm bells about hygiene levels at the restaurant afterfinding something totally unexpected inside their egg muffin.

McDonald's customer finds bright green object inside her food

As per the report, a customer, Margaret Francic, ordered a sausage and egg McMuffin from the McDonald's restaurant at Hervey Bay, Australia. As she ate her food, she did not find anything out of the ordinary about it, until her third bite. The woman reported feeling an itch as she felt something scratchy going down her throat. She says,

I thought maybe it was a bit of hard overcooked egg, but as I swallowed it actually scratched going down my throat.

A close look at her food revealed a green object sticking out of her McMuffin.

She immediately headed to the restaurant staff to report her disgusting find. The manager offered the theory that the green object was probably 'a worker's glove.' The customer describes the conversation,

I showed the manager and she said, ‘oh that looks like a worker’s glove,’ which made me feel even worse, because I was imagining the fingers that would have been in it.

McDonald's response to the situation

The customer has been left very dissatisfied by the company's reaction the incident. She says they did not adequately address the medical concerns that such a find raises. The customer explains,

Nothing was said about going up to hospital or getting checked or anything about it coming out the other end. [The medical side] was just ignored.

The customer reports facing medical issues to the contaminated food. She states,

My throat was sore in the way it would be if you swallowed something bad – it really hurt.

I know I swallowed some, I can just hope that it’s gone through the system and come out the other end. I’m a bit worried about it.

Though she has contacted McDonald's headquarters regarding the incident, the company has not come up with a statement concerning this incident yet.
