Most people apply their body lotion after drying off after a shower or bath. However, this is not actually the best way to apply moisturiser if you want to reap the maximum benefits. Warm, wet skin is actually the perfect canvas for body lotion application as it allows the product to seal in all that moisture! So next time you have a shower, take your body lotion in with you and apply it in the shower, (after you've turned the water off) but while you're still damp!

It turns out that we should be applying our deodorant at night! In the morning, when sweat glands are more active, it is harder for the aluminium-based active ingredient in antiperspirant to penetrate these glands and perform their function properly. However, at night, your body temperature drops, meaning that your sweat glands are less active. This is then the perfect time to apply your antiperspirant as it allows for maximum absorption.
And remember: antiperspirants typically last for 24hrs+, so, no, showering in the morning doesn't mean you need to reapply your deodorant!

Famed for its gentleness, micellar water can actually be a common cause of skin inflammation and sensitivity. That's because most people don't realise you're supposed to wash it off! If you don't, the surfactants in micellar water, which is what gives it its cleansing properties, sit on the skin and, much like other types of soap, can dry out your moisture barrier, leading to red, flaky skin or even breakouts!
