These new Aldi beauty dupes cost over 90% less than the designer brand

Aldi’s wildly popular cruelty-free Lacura beauty rangeis adding two new products made with Black Rose Extract. The Ebony Rose Face Mask and the Ebony Rose Cream (both priced at £6.99) are set to go on sale online for pre-order from 14th February and will be available to buy in stores from 21st February.

The Ebony Rose Face Mask is made from Black Rose Extract, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Shea Butter, which will work to plump your skin, making it feel smoother and softer. Added Vitamin B3 and Avocado Oil will also give you a more youthful and moisturised complexion to leave you feeling truly radiant.

The Ebony Rose Face Cream also includes nourishing Black Rose Extract and Shea Butter, as well as Vitamin B3 and Maracuja Oil to restore and hydrate the skin. Buying both the cream and mask will set you back a total of just £13.98, compared to a total of £261.50 for the Black Rose Cream and Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream by leading brand Sisley Paris.

What is black rose?

Black roses aren’t actually black but rather a very dark red or purple. Their extract is said to have an anti-ageing effect and feel soft and velvety on the skin. The Black Baccara rose that is used by Sisley Paris in their Black Rose products was developed in 2000 by a French rose producer. Sisley’s scientific director explained to Elle in 2014:

The aim was to produce a very dark rose by increasing the coloring pigments, which are known for their good antioxidant properties, in the petals. The extract is rich in carotenoids, which are very good free-radical traps, and fatty acids that bring nutrition, emolliency, and softness to the skin.
