Aldi’s wildly popular cruelty-free Lacura beauty rangeis adding two new products made with Black Rose Extract. The Ebony Rose Face Mask and the Ebony Rose Cream (both priced at £6.99) are set to go on sale online for pre-order from 14th February and will be available to buy in stores from 21st February.

Aldi beauty Black Rose Sisley Paris dupes
The Ebony Rose Face Mask is made from Black Rose Extract, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Shea Butter, which will work to plump your skin, making it feel smoother and softer. Added Vitamin B3 and Avocado Oil will also give you a more youthful and moisturised complexion to leave you feeling truly radiant.

What is black rose?
Black roses aren’t actually black but rather a very dark red or purple. Their extract is said to have an anti-ageing effect and feel soft and velvety on the skin. The Black Baccara rose that is used by Sisley Paris in their Black Rose products was developed in 2000 by a French rose producer. Sisley’s scientific director explained to Elle in 2014:
