The French clothing company Lacoste was created back in 1933 as a joint venture between the tennis player René Lacoste and André Gillier. It is now popular across the globe. They are most recognisable by their signature logo, the green crocodile. However, their iconic logo has undergone some changes - for a good cause.

René Lacoste was given the nickname 'The Crocodile' by his fans because of how fiercely he played against his tennis opponents. He introduced his first Lacoste tennis shirt back in 1929 with the logo - then, 4 years later, he invested in the clothing company, which is based in Paris, France.
