Jessica Waite found out her husband had been cheating for years
Jessica Waite, an author from the United States, lost her husband of 17 years in 2015. Sean died of a sudden heart attack while on a business trip to Houston, Texas, leaving behind a devastated wife, who had always thought her marriage was perfect. Jessica took her husband's iPad to look for the number of the hospital that held his body when she stumbled upon his dirty little secrets.

She also discovered he had lied to her, saying he had to work late when in fact he was busy sleeping with other women, and downloading hours of pornographic footage on his computer. He also rented a secret flat in Colorado, where he would invite these women over.
She ate her husband's ashes out of revenge
Jessica wrote a book about her ordeal, entitled The Widow's Guide to Dead B*stards. In it, she reveals that she ended up tearing open the bag containing Sean's ashes, and mixing them with her dog faeces, out of revenge. She explains:

Feeling extremely confused, angry and guilty, Jessica made the impulse decision to eat the remaining ashes of her dead husband. She says she felt 'detached from reality in the wake of Sean’s death' in that moment. The author writes:
