Bride drops 13 stones in nine months after seeing her wedding photos

Debbie Dyson-Fussey, 36, from Hull, married her husband Paul after proposing to him via text.

Trouble finding a dress

The preparations for the wedding were not all smooth sailing, however, as Debbie was left heartbroken and embarrassed when she struggled to find a wedding dress in her size. At 26 stone, the first bridal shop she visited told her they had nothing that would fit her.

When the big day came around poor Debbie cried walking down the aisle because she was so unhappy with how she looked.

After the wedding, when the photographs arrived, Debbie was distraught—she ripped them to pieces because she thought she looked 'disgusting.' Despite assurances from hubby Paul that she looked lovely, Debbie decided that she needed to make some drastic changes in order to lose weight.

Debbie joined Slimming World and in just nine months she managed to lose an incredible 13 stone – around half of her bodyweight. Today she fits comfortably into a size 14 and she looks great for it. It's not just the weight itself that makes the difference but the fact that Debbie is clearly so much happier and more confident in herself.

Debbie and Paul are now planning a second wedding ceremony where they will renew their vows and take some new photographs that they will treasure forever. Good for you Debbie—we wish you and Paul all the happiness in the world!
